Job Description
Overview Of The Role
The Senior Application Security Engineer at Betfair Romania Development drives the implementation and optimization of application security controls across Flutter's development ecosystem. This role, based in Sofia and Cluj, allows you to work using a hybrid work arrangement combining remote work with time in modern offices.
What You’ll Do
Tool Management (40%): Administer and optimize SAST, SCA, and Secrets Scanning platforms (ex Snyk, TruffleHog); develop custom integrations and automation; create and maintain security policies and rules; and monitor tool performance and availability.
Vulnerability Management (30%): Design remediation workflows; perform vulnerability analysis and risk assessment; create remediation guidance for development teams; and track and report on vulnerability metrics.
Developer Enablement (20%): Create secure coding guidelines and training; support security champion programs; conduct security reviews and consultations; and build security tools and libraries.
Innovation (10%): Research new security tools and techniques; contribute to open source security projects; and develop proof-of-concept projects for process improvements.
What You’ll Bring
Extensive application security experience, strong programming skills in multiple languages, hands-on experience with SAST/SCA tools (Snyk preferred), a deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding, experience with cloud security (AWS preferred), and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Key attributes include technical expertise, problem-solving, effective communication, collaboration, self-direction, initiative, continuous learning, and strong attention to detail.
