About Flutter Studios

Role Overview
We are looking for a talented technical, dedicated, self-motivated intern within Flutter Studios Technology to build knowledge on creating robust, clean, easy to use and maintain applications, while learning all the relevant skills in this regard, on the backend side. You will be part of a cross functional team that will implement a basic application within the gaming industry, in an Agile environment, being involved in the entire development lifecycle. Once you get a solid foundation during the internship program, you will be able to join our development team. Our department has an exciting new product within the company, revolutionizing the world of gaming by using a platform agnostic game development and runtime environments that will take operator/brand integrations where they have never been before. You will be able to help us bring this product to life, through crafting a user experience that engages and delights our customers.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Learn about relevant industry technologies (Scala, Java, Python) and the complex interactions between them
- Learn about the difference between relational and non-relational databases and which use cases they are best suited for
- Get familiar with secure coding principles and technical design principles (e.g. scalability, reliability, high availability, efficiency)
- Take ownership of tasks as you work through them with assistance and support (when you need it)
- Focus on your own professional development through on-the-job experience and actively seeking learning opportunities
- Be part of a cross functional team that will implement a basic application within the gaming industry, in an Agile environment
- Learn about the software development lifecycle
- Get involved in discussions about how we can improve the software that you are building
Skills & Capabilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree (finished or in progress) or technical diploma in computer science, computer technology or related field
- Apache Spark knowledge is a plus
- Basic database understanding (relational and non-relational)
- Basic automated testing understanding (unit)
- Proficient with (at least) one programming language (Java, Scala, Python etc)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Good coding skills, ability to produce clean, robust, and accurate code that meets the specifications
- Knowledge of probability, statistics and different casino game rules is an asset
- Future Ready: Demonstrating curiosity and openness toward AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to continuously learn, adapt, share knowledge and collaborate with AI tools in your day to day activity.
