Role Overview: Associate Technical Project Manager, Fanduel

FanDuel is seeking an Associate Technical Project Manager to join its Technology organisation. In this role, you will own the delivery of Casino-specific technical programmes aimed at improving product, technology stack, delivery model, and engineer efficiency. You will apply technical depth to define complex solutions across multiple verticals, lead technical trade-off discussions, and manage timelines, dependencies, milestones, and risks, serving as the single accountable owner for successful delivery.

Your focus will be assisting senior TPMs and Engineering Managers in successfully delivering improvements to existing technology platforms or achieving defined program goals, potentially spanning multiple engineering teams. Success requires understanding technology decision consequences and broader business context, alongside a hunger for rapid learning. You will evolve into a subject matter expert, partnering with product, commercial, and engineering to balance customer experience with delivery speed, meet timelines, mitigate risks, and drive decisions with data, ensuring valuable engineering input.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technical programs within Casino, with appropriate support.
• Collaborate with TPMs, senior TPMs, and engineering leads to identify and address program risks and issues.
• Assist in identifying and tracking dependencies between teams and projects.
• Contribute to program planning by providing accurate and up-to-date information.
• Assist in providing status updates to stakeholders and team members, guided by senior TPMs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand architectural concepts and identify potential weaknesses.
• Serve as a resource for program information within your domain, actively expanding your knowledge.
• Support resource allocation and priority discussions under senior TPM guidance.
• Assist in influencing teams and stakeholders to align with program goals.
• Escalate issues when necessary, guided by senior TPMs.
• Contribute to trade-off decisions, particularly for immediate program needs.

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a technical program management role, or equivalent experience working closely with engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and support program delivery.
• Basic understanding of engineering and technical program management concepts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a willingness to learn and improve.
• Familiarity with engineering processes and the ability to engage in discussions with engineers.
• An interest in architectural concepts and a willingness to learn more.
• Exposure to working with multiple teams or projects in a collaborative environment is a plus.
• Eagerness to grow and develop in the role with mentorship from senior TPMs and engineers.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong commitment to understanding and meeting stakeholder and customer needs; delivering solutions that exceed expectations, building trust, and fostering long-term relationships for positive, lasting impact.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams across various departments, fostering open communication and shared goals for collective success.
• Exposure to emerging innovative technologies in business applications is an advantage.
