Role: Head of Fraud Engineering

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled leader to establish and head our Fraud Management function. This role focuses on cyber fraud risks in the e-commerce and webshop environment, requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a Fraud Management team against cyber-enabled fraud.
• Design and maintain fraud detection, prevention, and response processes.
• Collaborate with Cyber Defense, SOC, Customer Care, and Payment/Fraud teams.
• Analyze fraud trends and develop mitigation mechanisms.
• Own and enhance fraud tools, rule sets, and machine learning models.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and reports for performance visibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years in fraud management, cybersecurity, or cybercrime prevention.
• Strong technical skills in fraud detection systems and data analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of various fraud types including account takeover and payment fraud.
• Experience with Python, Java, SQL, and KQL.
• Proven leadership managing high-performing teams.
• Fluent in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
