About The Team
The Pre-Sales module team owns the agent-facing quote and illustration tools that power Bestow's life insurance offerings. We work across the full stack to deliver the end-to-end pre-sales journey from quote generation through illustration management, partnering closely with product and design to ship features that drive agent adoption and conversion. The team operates in a fast-moving, high-stakes domain where quality and velocity both matter.
Within Bestow Engineering, our major functional teams are product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, mar-tech, and program management. Pre-Sales works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Developing core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL.
- Accelerate foundational services to scale the output of our product teams.
- Resolve issues with previously delivered features.
- Write unit and integration tests for code you create.
- Peer review code developed by others on your team.
- Ensure software is secure and maintainable.
- Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
- Encourage automation and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of professional software development experience (full stack).
- Professional experience with Golang (Go) is preferred.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies including React and Typescript.
- An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices.
- Experience designing APIs (Protocol Buffers, RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, etc.).
- Strategic Orchestration of AI-Augmented Engineering: Drives org-wide adoption of AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) across frontend and backend domains to accelerate delivery of modular, full-stack features. Establishes and champions cross-stack standards for AI-generated code from API design to UI components ensuring automated testing and documentation workflows reduce technical debt at scale. Coaches both engineers and managers on leveraging GenAI to bridge domain gaps, enabling more fluid collaboration across teams while maintaining high architectural integrity.
