About The Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team at METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and automation solutions primarily on AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cloud services, scripting, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures. Qualifications

• Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator are mandatory.
• Additional certifications in automation, CI/CD, or container orchestration are advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript is required.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is essential.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline is essential.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift is desirable.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team are critical.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design discussions with internal teams and clients for scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Implement best practices aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework for security, cost, and performance optimization.
• Manage customer engagements independently, handling new deals and providing technical guidance.
• Support the development of cloud assets and automation scripts.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring team members on technical and functional skills.
• Initiate meetings with leads and extended teams to address gaps, delays, or challenges.
• Work closely with application development teams to design, automate, and optimize infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Maintain and support existing cloud environments through continuous monitoring, automation, and security enhancements.
• Focus on improving stability, availability, and security posture with innovative automation solutions.
• Manage assets, support infrastructure development, and contribute to the company's knowledge base and best practices.
• Combine technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and strategic planning to meet client requirements and industry standards.
