About The Role

The role of Chief Cloud Architect and Lead Infrastructure SME (CCALIS) involves spearheading the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). The position requires hands-on experience in AWS GovCloud, deep understanding of federal and DoD IT frameworks, and strategic leadership for mission-critical cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and deployment of AWS GovCloud solutions.
  • Provide expert infrastructure support ensuring availability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs to meet DoD and federal standards.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices and Agile methodologies in cloud projects.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Establish architectural governance and mentor technical teams.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and security trends.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. At least 6 years of experience in federal or DoD IT architecture roles, with a minimum of 5 years specialized in AWS GovCloud. Must have experience with Department of Defense contracts and active relevant certifications such as CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, among others. U.S. citizenship with an active Top Secret SCI or Tier 5 clearance is required.
