About the Cardiology Physician Role

We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Non-Invasive/Non-Interventional Cardiology Physician to join a well-established and busy cardiology practice located in Valparaiso, Indiana. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a comprehensive service line that includes advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in interpreting a variety of cardiac diagnostic tests such as echocardiography, nuclear imaging, stress testing, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT, provided they are credentialed accordingly.

The role involves a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, allowing for diverse clinical experiences. The practice is affiliated with a hospital that boasts a robust CV surgery program on-site and offers specialized services including TAVR, Watchman device procedures, and CardioMEMS monitoring. The clinic is attached to the hospital, facilitating seamless patient care coordination. The practice welcomes both new fellows and experienced Cardiology Physicians eager to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Eligible or Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Prior experience or training in non-invasive cardiology preferred.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain medical licensure in Indiana.
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Team-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret various cardiac diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, nuclear studies, stress tests, TEE, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with surgeons, primary care physicians, and other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the cardiology service line, including involvement in new procedures and technologies such as TAVR and Watchman.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuing medical education and quality improvement initiatives to stay current with advancements in cardiology.
