About the Role: Executive Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud Computing

As the Executive Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud Computing, you will be a pivotal leader within the GTS Enterprise Technology and Architecture team. This role involves spearheading the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise infrastructure, network, and cloud services across BeOne's global organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring the provision of secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology platforms that are crucial for enabling business growth and innovation. The position demands deep technical expertise, robust leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to drive transformative change within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global infrastructure and cloud strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Oversee the architecture, engineering, and operations for network, compute, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Lead compliance and optimization initiatives across both AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability, robust disaster recovery, and continuous performance monitoring for all infrastructure services across all BeOne operating regions.
• Drive automation and modernization initiatives, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive data center standards, including best practices for both physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Oversee system administration for enterprise servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure services.
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability frameworks to ensure reliability and facilitate rapid incident response.
• Manage crucial vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for infrastructure and cloud services.
• Collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, application development, and business teams to ensure seamless technology integration.
• Establish robust governance frameworks and define key performance metrics for all infrastructure and cloud services.
• Mentor and foster the development of a global team of skilled engineers and architects.
• Partner with the cybersecurity team to ensure the highest standards of security are applied and consistently maintained across the technology stack.
• Collaborate with BeOne technology leaders and stakeholders to ensure the technology stack fully supports business goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 14+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 8 years in progressive leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing and architecting AWS and Azure cloud platforms; experience with Alicloud or Tencent is a valuable plus.
• Strong foundational background in network engineering, enterprise architecture, Terraform, system administration, and advanced monitoring solutions.
• Proven experience in managing global infrastructure operations and successfully executing large-scale cloud migrations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Direct experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, coupled with a solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as GxP, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
• Advanced certifications in leading cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
