While the Finance team supports post-acquisition integration and performance, please note that this position does not involve pre-acquisition M&A, deal sourcing, or transaction execution.

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Analyst

• Due Diligence and Post-M&A Integration: Oversee financial and tax due diligence for acquisitions and related restructuring. Lead and support post-M&A integration to ensure smooth financial, operational, and reporting alignment.
• Accounting, Reporting, and Financial Planning: Prepare accurate financial statements and reports, maintaining precision across all financial records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, align spending, and achieve financial objectives.
• Investor Relations and Fundraising Support: Assist in preparing board meetings and minutes. Manage financing activities to support M&A, engaging with banks, investors, and institutional stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements. Establish and enhance internal controls for financial integrity and operational efficiency. Facilitate external and internal audit processes.
• Equity Plans: Optimize and manage company equity plans, ensuring effective implementation. Provide support to Spooners regarding their equity plans.
• Fiscal Optimization: Identify fiscal incentives and design the group’s intercompany flow strategy.

Location & Initial Setup

This position is located in Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) or remote in selected countries. We recommend spending your first few months working from our Milan office to rapidly absorb company culture and build trust, with generous travel and accommodation assistance provided. After this initial period, you are welcome to work from our offices in Milan or London, or remotely from approved countries.
