Sourcing Specialist at Ampcontrol

At Ampcontrol, we enable and support critical industries spanning energy, resources, infrastructure, and renewables. Our Talent Acquisition team works in close partnership with key business areas including Technology & Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Safety, and Corporate Services, ensuring we attract talent that underpins our technical excellence and future growth.

We want to focus on proactive talent pipelining, ensuring critical roles are filled from engaged talent communities rather than just job postings. To enable this shift, we are introducing a new role into our TA function - Sourcing Specialist.

This is not a traditional recruiter role. It is a talent engagement role where you’ll play a pivotal part in building Ampcontrol’s long-term talent capability and strengthening our position in competitive engineering and technical markets.

We will consider full-time or Part-time (school hours).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Map where critical engineering and technical talent sits across Australia
  • Build and nurture talent pools
  • Partner with TA specialists to design proactive sourcing strategies aligned to workforce plans
  • Engage passive talent through targeted campaigns and relationship-building
  • Deliver pre-qualified, pre-engaged candidates as roles become active

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Bring

  • Experience sourcing for engineering, technical and industrial roles (ideally within mining, energy, infrastructure or manufacturing environments)
  • 3+ years sourcing experience (agency or in-house)
  • Strong capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and AI-enabled sourcing tools
  • Experience conducting talent mapping and delivering market intelligence insights
  • Ability to build credible relationships with highly technical talent
