Contracts Manager - Major Projects at Ampcontrol Group

About The Role

As Contracts Manager - Major Projects, you will provide day-to-day contractual guidance and advice to Project Managers, ensuring compliance, minimising risk, and strengthening customer relationships.

This role is central to the commercial and administrative success of our projects, managing contracts, supporting tender processes, and delivering training across our Tomago sites. You’ll be the trusted advisor ensuring contracts are administered effectively, obligations are met, and opportunities are maximised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Oversee all contract administration including notices, variations, documentation control, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Commercial & Legal Advisory: Provide practical contract and commercial advice to Project Managers and manage contractual/legal matters as they arise.
  • Project Support & Coordination: Support project delivery through schedule input (ERP), meeting coordination, correspondence tracking, and customer liaison.
  • Tender Support: Assist with estimating control, tender tracking, and follow-up of evaluations and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Liaise with customers, influence project outcomes, and deliver internal training on contract management practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree (or higher) qualifications in Law, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong contract administration and commercial risk management experience
  • Ability to manage complex documentation and correspondence
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Confidence in issuing contractual notices and managing variations
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work autonomously
