Job Description
Partnership Specialist at Bellroy
At Bellroy, we're dedicated to helping the world carry better and using business as a force for good. We craft products that improve everyday life, always striving for better practices, from responsible sourcing to reducing environmental impact and ensuring product longevity.
Partnerships with like-minded brands and individuals are crucial for expanding our reach, sharing our story, and building meaningful connections globally. Having collaborated with notable partners like Google, Qantas, RVCA, Field Notes, Patty Mills, and MAAP, we are now seeking a Partnership Specialist to further these initiatives. You will lead projects, from local efforts to global collaborations, that introduce Bellroy to new audiences, growing our customer base and influence worldwide. This role offers the unique opportunity to refine and shape our emerging approach to partnerships from the ground up, rather than stepping into an established system.
As a key member of our Wholesale Team, you will significantly influence our partnership strategy, focusing on relationships that align with our values and deliver long-term, meaningful results. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding Bellroy’s reach and impact, driving brand awareness and equity through high-quality collaborations. Bring your commercial mindset, creative perspective, and excellent communication skills; in return, we offer a world-class team, a brand to be proud of, and the chance to undertake impactful work.
What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years in a commercially-facing role, with a preference for experience in brand partnerships, business development, or marketing partnerships (direct partnership experience is a plus, but not essential).
- Genuine satisfaction from organizing complex information, where tracking, coordinating, and follow-through come naturally.
- Self-directed and proactive, capable of identifying gaps, asking pertinent questions, and taking initiative without constant direction.
- Clear and adaptable communication skills, suitable for diverse audiences including creative partners, operations teams, and leadership.
- A commercial mindset, understanding how partnerships create mutual value and articulating this case effectively.
- An innate sense for brand and product quality, enabling quick assessment of potential partners' alignment with Bellroy's standards.
- Comfort with ambiguity, viewing undeveloped processes as opportunities rather than obstacles.
- A collaborative approach, building trust quickly and working without territorial behavior or credit-hoarding.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail); experience with project management and CRM tools such as Asana, Copper, or similar is a plus.
A Week in the Life (What You Might Have Done Last Week)
- Drafted a business case for a new partnership, collaborating with a financial analyst to assess commercial potential.
- Coordinated a cross-functional meeting involving design, product, and a partner brand to synchronize on a co-branded project timeline.
- Researched a new market vertical and presented three prospective partners to your manager, complete with clear justifications.
- Managed final approvals for a legal agreement, ensuring timely progress from both parties towards sign-off.
- Updated the partnership tracker and proactively identified a timeline risk before it escalated.
- Prepared a concise and clear status summary for leadership on all active projects.
- Followed up on a slow-moving asset exchange, preventing any delays.
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive PTO offerings, including 20 days of PTO, 10 additional paid days of sick/personal time, plus national holidays (aligned with Australian policies but including US public holidays) and paid parental leave.
- Extensive medical benefits package.
- A yearly product allowance and an additional 50% discount for friends and family.
- An annual trip to Australia for the Bellroy conference, featuring learning and development sessions and in-person collaboration with colleagues.
- Fully remote work with a contribution to your work-from-home setup.
Location, Hours & Salary
This is a full-time remote position for candidates based in the West Coast or Midwest time zones of the U.S., facilitating better overlap with our Australian HQ. You will report to a U.S.-based manager and are expected to have at least 2 hours of overlap with our Melbourne office for cross-time zone collaboration. The salary range for this role is $65,000–$75,000 USD. Occasional travel (2–3 times per year) to product shows is also required. Start date: We're ready when you are.
