About the Bookkeeper Role at BELAY

BELAY is seeking qualified Bookkeepers to provide remote bookkeeping services as 1099 Independent Contractors. The role requires availability during normal business hours and offers flexible working hours from your home office.

Job Duties

  • Pay Client's Bills on a Weekly Basis
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation
  • Budget Management and Cash Flow Management
  • Journal and Data Entry (Coding)
  • Provide Weekly & Monthly Reports
  • Prepare Weekly/Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L
  • Generate Budget vs. Actual and Custom Reports
  • Maintain and Manage Chart of Accounts
  • Debit/Credit Cards Reconciliation
  • 1099 Preparation
  • Process Payroll
  • E-Commerce Support and Sales Tax Filing

Required Experience & Tools

Qualified candidates should ideally hold a Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field, and have experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll along with a deep understanding of Quickbooks (desktop and online). A reliable home office setup including a computer with webcam, smartphone, and high-speed internet are necessary.
