Your Opportunity as a Data Architect
As a Data Architect on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on designing, building, and scaling robust data architectures that support analytics, AI, and business intelligence. You’ll help organizations turn data into a reliable strategic asset—without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement end-to-end data architectures
- Define data models, schemas, and governance standards
- Build scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage
- Architect data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouse solutions
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance
- Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources
- Support analytics, BI, and AI/ML workloads
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to align data strategy with goals
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience in data architecture and data engineering
- Expertise with data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, etc.)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data orchestration
- Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional, normalized, and analytical)
- Experience with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern data stacks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A self-driven freelancer who can independently own and deliver data architecture solutions
