The Role

As a Senior Informatics Technical Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, responsible for delivering and implementing software solutions that integrate laboratory information systems (LIS) with analytical instrumentation. This role combines consulting, implementation, and technical expertise to design and deliver scalable solutions, ensuring seamless communication between automation, informatics, and LIS. You will define integration processes, lead implementation activities, and manage customer satisfaction to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate automation, informatics, and LIS for successful system communication and connectivity.
  • Write custom algorithms to modify informatics software for effective integration.
  • Define and communicate integration gaps and design improvements.
  • Serve as project leader for laboratory informatics implementation activities.
  • Integrate third-party hardware (PC workstations, servers) for informatics software operation.
  • Manage and support customer satisfaction to sustain business growth.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Associate degree in Science, IT, or Medical Technology.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a clinical lab environment or with a clinical LIS.
  • Ability to travel 85% of the time to client sites nationwide.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Medical Technology.
  • Proven experience managing personal schedules, travel, company assets, and expenses.
  • Experience with laboratory workflow and operations, ideally as a medical technologist.
  • Experience with Beckman Coulter instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with programming, networking, databases, and/or LIS implementation.

Work Arrangement and Benefits

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $36.00-$45.00, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.
