Introducing the AI Agentic Platform Engineer Role

At BDO Canada, we put people first, fostering a culture of growth and innovation. As an AI Agentic Platform Engineer, you will develop core platform capabilities, frameworks, and tools to design, deploy, and manage AI agents at scale.

Your Opportunity

This role focuses on custom Python-based development, orchestration logic, API integrations, and platform governance. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure security, compliance, and observability across all AI agents.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Python frameworks, SDKs, and orchestration services.
  • Build APIs and integration layers for efficient AI agent onboarding.
  • Implement platform governance, observability, and lifecycle management.
  • Integrate MCP-Context-Forge for enhanced context and orchestration.
  • Enable Unified Network Security & Observability for Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, AI researchers, and product teams.
  • Embed responsible AI principles in platform services.
  • Prototype and adapt agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Haystack).
  • Contribute to Python libraries standardizing AI agent development.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Python development and platform building.
  • Experience with MCP-Context-Forge for AI orchestration.
  • Understanding of network security and Kubernetes observability.
  • Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks and MLOps workflows.
  • Strong software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and versioning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing internal Python SDKs, libraries, or APIs.
  • Familiarity with financial services applications.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into modular components.
  • Strong collaboration skills across various teams.
