Job Overview
The Senior Elastic Engineer will join our Data Analytic Engineers team to enhance, maintain, and sustain an ELK (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) instance. This role emphasizes data onboarding, content development, configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and visualizations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines to ingest external datasets into Elastic products.
- Design, deploy, and maintain the ELK platform.
- Install and configure ELK components and integrate with enterprise tools.
- Implement complex use cases using Python, Groovy, and Bash.
- Utilize Elasticsearch APIs, Kibana dashboards, Logstash, and Beats.
- Monitor Elastic Search Cluster using dedicated tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret (S) clearance; must obtain TS/SCI and DHS Suitability.
- 6+ years of directly relevant software development experience.
- 2+ years experience as an Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) admin or similar.
- 2+ years experience with Elasticsearch DSL.
- 5+ years with Kubernetes architecture.
- Strong knowledge of the ELK stack and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Bash).
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Desired Skills and Certifications
- Agile environment experience and federal customer support.
- DoD 8570.1-M Compliance (e.g., CISSP) and Agile certifications.
- Elastic certification (Certified Engineer/Analyst/Observable Engineer) and Kubernetes certification (KCNA, KCSA, CKAD, CKA, or CKS).
