The Senior Database Engineer AWS PostgreSQL role at BB Agency is a full-time, remote position open for candidates in Europe or LATAM. Professional English is required, and Spanish is a bonus for our Latin American market project.

Data Focus & Responsibilities

You will architect the storage engine for a global HR SaaS using Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL. With more than 5 years of database engineering experience, you will design scalable, compliant, and isolated schemas, ensuring accurate financial transactions for thousands of employees.

• PostgreSQL Architecture: Design schema, partitioning strategies, and performance tuning on Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Migration: Lead ETL projects migrating from Oracle PL/SQL to modern data structures.
• Immutable Ledger: Build a tamper-proof audit trail ensuring cryptographic verification.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze SQL queries, identify issues before production.
• Database-as-Code: Manage schema changes within a CI/CD environment.
• Data Security: Implement banking-grade data protection and role-based access controls.
• AWS Disaster Recovery: Develop backup strategies and ensure cross-region replication.
