Job Summary
The Physical Therapist 1 provides comprehensive patient care through evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation. Responsibilities include patient education and discharge planning to maximize functional outcomes.
Essential Functions Of The Role
- Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed.
- Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner and enters charges accurately, understanding reimbursement related to the practice setting.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team, providing education as necessary.
- Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
- Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues.
- Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
- Maintains awareness of system goals and aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact system goals.

Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- EXPERIENCE: Less than 1 Year of Experience
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current Physical Therapist (PT) license by the State of Texas. Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
