Overview
The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) at Baycrest is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to help drive innovative aging and brain health solutions. The role is permanent full-time, with day shifts and a 70-hour bi-weekly schedule.
Job Responsibilities
Digital Communications Strategy:
- Develop and maintain a cross-platform digital content strategy and calendar.
- Identify opportunities to optimize marketing and communication strategies.
- Advance CABHI’s knowledge mobilization through engaging digital tactics.
- Manage social media accounts and digital assets.
- Lead multiple digital campaigns ensuring accuracy and detail.
High-Quality Content Creation
- Develop engaging digital content for social media and website.
- Create compelling CABHI-branded assets using design software.
- Interview stakeholders and edit short-form content.
- Collaborate for joint content initiatives with ecosystem partners.
Broader MarComm Strategy
- Collaborate with teams to advance brand awareness and marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain distribution lists for outreach.
- Participate in organizational monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Create monthly media monitoring reports.
- Support event launches and logistics coordination.
- Assist in KPI collection, validation, and reporting with Finance and Operations.
Key Qualifications
- University degree in Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience in content development across digital, social, and print media.
- Experience in non-profit/healthcare preferred; tech/startup experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of social and digital marketing platforms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with digital analytics and graphic design tools.
- Fluency in French is a strong asset.
