Overview

The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) at Baycrest is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to help drive innovative aging and brain health solutions. The role is permanent full-time, with day shifts and a 70-hour bi-weekly schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Digital Communications Strategy:

  • Develop and maintain a cross-platform digital content strategy and calendar.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize marketing and communication strategies.
  • Advance CABHI’s knowledge mobilization through engaging digital tactics.
  • Manage social media accounts and digital assets.
  • Lead multiple digital campaigns ensuring accuracy and detail.

High-Quality Content Creation

  • Develop engaging digital content for social media and website.
  • Create compelling CABHI-branded assets using design software.
  • Interview stakeholders and edit short-form content.
  • Collaborate for joint content initiatives with ecosystem partners.

Broader MarComm Strategy

  • Collaborate with teams to advance brand awareness and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain distribution lists for outreach.
  • Participate in organizational monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Create monthly media monitoring reports.
  • Support event launches and logistics coordination.
  • Assist in KPI collection, validation, and reporting with Finance and Operations.

Key Qualifications

  • University degree in Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in content development across digital, social, and print media.
  • Experience in non-profit/healthcare preferred; tech/startup experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of social and digital marketing platforms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with digital analytics and graphic design tools.
  • Fluency in French is a strong asset.
