Job Summary

B&A is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA processes in an enterprise IT environment for a federal government client. The role involves managing quality assurance through all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), mentoring junior staff, and integrating QA in agile and DevSecOps settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA processes ensuring compliance with IT standards.
• Ensure best practices in infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage QA efforts across all SDLC phases with thorough testing and validation.
• Collaborate in agile and DevSecOps environments integrating QA in CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues with effective solutions.
• Develop strategic QA plans including test strategies, test cases, and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior staff in QA methodologies and documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with leadership, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Stay updated with industry trends in QA, DevSecOps, and IT infrastructure.

Education and Experience

10+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments and 5+ years of supervisory experience. BA Degree or higher in IT is required.

Required Skills

• Strong infrastructure expertise
• Cloud experience (hybrid preferred)
• Experience in all phases of the SDLC
• Agile and/or DevSecOps environment exposure

Desired Skills

Analytical skills to identify root causes and develop alternatives. Experience mentoring staff and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Security Clearance

Active Top-Secret clearance required.
