Envision yourself at Barracuda

If you enjoy being a technology evangelist—sharing ideas, influencing direction, and helping others see what’s possible—you’ll find plenty of opportunity to do that here. For those who are energized by a fast-paced environment, enjoy the thrill of a well-executed win, and are curious about applying their skills in a new way, this role offers a rewarding path within our sales organization—even without prior sales experience.

A Solutions Architect is the critical link between Barracuda's cybersecurity technology and the customers and partners who depend on it. In this role, you will work directly with customers and partners to understand their security requirements, recommend the most appropriate solution, and support the technical sales motion through demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities. While the primary focus is on network security and email security, you may also support other Barracuda security solutions including data protection, XDR and application security.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Translate requirements into architectures: Team with customers, partners and sales to understand security requirements and the current environment, design and recommend the Barracuda solution architecture.
  • Support the sales motion: Support opportunities through solution validation by delivering demos, leading workshops, and running proof-of-concept activities that map Barracuda capabilities to customer outcomes.
  • Be a trusted technical advisor: Work alongside Barracuda Sales and Channel partners to qualify opportunities, validate solution fit, and position Barracuda effectively—helping teams address technical objections and competitive questions.
  • Represent Barracuda and share field insights: Engage in customer and partner sessions, webinars, and forums, and bring back learnings on objections, deployment patterns, and competitive dynamics to improve messaging and enablement.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Demonstrate hands-on security expertise: Proven ability to install, configure, administer, troubleshoot, and support security technologies
  • Apply channel and MSP acumen: Experience working with or for Managed Service Providers, plus the ability to support partner-led sales motions: qualification, solution fit, competitive positioning, technical objection handling, and executive-ready value messaging are a plus.
  • Communicate and enable effectively: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver demos, run discovery workshops, and create/teach enablement content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ground decisions in networking and security fundamentals: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS/DHCP, NAT, TLS, authentication/authorization, and common security controls (segmentation, VPN, IPS/IDS, web filtering, and zero trust concepts).
  • Take a consultative, customer-first approach: Translate requirements into practical architectures, explain tradeoffs clearly, and recommend next steps that reduce risk and improve operational outcomes.
  • Back your expertise with education and certifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience). Industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, vendor firewall certifications, AWS/Azure fundamentals, Security+ / CISSP).
  • Produce strong solution design deliverables: Comfortable creating high-quality technical content such as network diagrams, high-level and low-level designs, implementation guidance, and partner-facing enablement materials.
  • Meet travel expectations: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the month.
