Legal Administrative Assistant - Litigation

This role performs a variety of administrative duties for attorneys and management at Barnes & Thornburg LLP. The position primarily supports litigation attorneys and may also assist corporate attorneys as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents from drafts.
  • Screen telephone calls, record messages, and handle time-sensitive legal filings.
  • Manage calendars, deadlines and maintain client files with confidentiality.
  • Assist in case preparation, legal research, billing processes, and proofreading.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Office skills for document formatting and binding.

Working Conditions & Benefits:

Work is performed in a normal law office environment. Benefits include comprehensive health and life insurance, 401k/Roth, profit sharing, and paid time off. New York applicant salary range is $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
