Job Description
CNC Milling Machinist (2nd Shift)
Barnes Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist for their 2nd shift operations.
Position Details
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday
- 15% Differential pay included
Your Expertise
- 3-5 years of machining experience in an aerospace environment.
- Three (3) or more years of experience setting up and operating CNC Devlieg Milling Machines.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls is required; willingness to cross-train on various operations/equipment is expected.
- Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Willingness to learn basic CNC Programming.
- A good attitude and willingness to learn a new trade or skill are highly valued.
Your Challenge
- Perform complex setups, edits, and operate established and NPI jobs with minimal supervision, ensuring parts conform to specifications.
- Make modifications or adjustments as necessary.
- Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments (micrometers, depth gage, height gage, vernier).
- Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets.
- Collaborate with the engineering department regarding material conditions, part positioning, tool pressure, etc.
- Detect faulty operations and materials and report problems to a supervisor.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
This is a safety-sensitive position and requires compliance with FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.
Employment may be contingent on U.S. Person status or obtaining necessary export licenses.
