Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

Step into the role of Senior Data Analyst at Barclays within the Investment Bank Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) team. You'll drive innovation and creativity by developing forward-thinking, data-driven solutions. Your problem-solving mindset, determination, and collaborative spirit will be key to challenging the status quo and introducing new ideas. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of our data strategy, transforming raw information into actionable insights that power smarter decisions and operational excellence. You will partner with Front Office and work cross functionally with Legal and Operations teams to design innovative solutions, streamline data pipelines, optimise data structures, strengthen governance, and ensure regulatory compliance, making a meaningful impact on how Barclays delivers value.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
• Document data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
• Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations.
• Develop validated logical data models and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Drive operational and process improvements by leveraging machine learning/AI.
• Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools.
• Automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
