Join Our Fraud Change Team at Barclays
Join our Fraud Change team as a Senior Business Analyst, where you’ll help safeguard society and enable safe growth through data and technology enabled services. You’ll shape the strategic change agenda by defining business requirements and supporting the development of solutions that reduce fraud losses and strengthen controls.
What You'll Need to Be a Successful Senior Business Analyst
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on business process-driven design.
- Extensive Economic Crime experience in Financial Services, leading multi-faceted requirements, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering strategic change aligned to regulatory and control objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- A recognised Business Analysis qualification.

This role will be based in one of our Northampton, Knutsford, or Glasgow offices.
Purpose of the Senior Business Analyst Role
To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
- Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
- Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
- Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

As a Senior Business Analyst (which may align to a VP level within Barclays), you are expected to:
- Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches.
- For individual contributors, act as a subject matter expert, guide technical direction, lead collaborative multi-year assignments, and coach less experienced specialists.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organisation functions to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate with other areas of work for business aligned support and strategies.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing complex alternatives.
- Adopt and include outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, using influencing and negotiating skills.
