Senior Automation Tester

Barclays is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure high software quality and reliability.

Accountabilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
• Collaborate with teams to define requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis and support defect resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote quality standards.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

Depending on the role track, either lead a team with a focus on quality and operational effectiveness or drive collaborative assignments and influence stakeholders. Duties include advising on policy development, risk mitigation, and ensuring controls align with Barclays' values.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Selenium for web automation testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Experience using Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Experience documenting processes in Confluence.

Additional Valued Skills

• API testing using Postman or RestAssured.
• Performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum teams.
