About the Role
Barclays is seeking a Financial Control Analyst to manage the financial operations of the organisation. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability in financial reporting, managing internal controls, and overseeing statutory reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks and report issues.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
- Manage selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion).
- Coordinate preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
- Work with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.
- Lead or contribute individually with clear communication and guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives.
Analyst Expectations
Candidates should have a Qualified Accountant/MBA background with post qualification experience, strong technical expertise in IFRS/US GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and previous experience in month-end or quarter-end reporting. Experience with SAP or Hyperion is beneficial.
