Overview

Join us as a Data Analyst at Barclays. You will support the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects, ensuring that plans, budgets, quality, and governance standards are met. You will drive the evolution of our digital landscape, harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, and deliver unparalleled customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on data analysis and support tech BA activities.
  • Create process flows and detailed technical requirements across stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex data migration projects, including database details and reconciliation.
  • Develop and maintain Data Dictionaries, Metadata documentation, and API Catalogues.
  • Write strong SQL queries and use SAS for ad-hoc analysis and BAU reporting.
  • Utilize Python for automation, scripting, and data analysis.
  • Work with large datasets involving extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation.
  • Implement Technology Application Delivery and Data Management control frameworks.
  • Work with tools like Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS, and Tableau/Power BI.

Additional Valued Skills

  • Agile methodology experience with portfolio epics and user stories.
  • SAS certifications and hands-on ETL, data quality, and warehousing experience.
  • Expertise in Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn) and PySpark.
  • AWS certifications and advanced Tableau/Power BI skills.
  • Banking experience, particularly in fraud detection.
  • Ability to work in a large matrix organization and coordinate with senior stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to coordinate across US, UK, and India time zones.

Purpose and Accountabilities

The role focuses on implementing data quality processes, cleansing, transformation, and building automated data pipelines. You will apply advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve business problems while documenting findings and recommendations.
