Key Responsibilities:
- Deep Expertise in Data Governance: Strong command over Metadata Management, Business & Technical Data Lineage, Data Mapping, and Data Quality Controls design and lifecycle management.
- Requirements Elicitation & Documentation Excellence: Proven capability in conducting structured requirements gathering, performing gap analysis, and producing clear, comprehensive BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process documentation.
- End-to-End BA Ownership: Demonstrated experience managing the full BA lifecycle, from stakeholder engagement and requirement definition to delivery, sign-off, and post-implementation support.
- Primary Bridge Between Business, Data, and Technology: Acts as the key liaison ensuring alignment across business SMEs, data SMEs, engineering, and governance teams; drives clarity and ensures a shared understanding of requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office & Analytical Tools: Strong skills in Excel (including large-volume data analysis), PowerPoint (creating clear and compelling presentations), and other Office tools to communicate insights effectively.
- Strong Agile & JIRA Proficiency: Comfortable managing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and day-to-day Agile workflows in JIRA.
- Hands-On Data Analysis & SQL Proficiency: Ability to interrogate datasets, validate business rules, perform root-cause analysis, and generate actionable insights using SQL.
- Working Knowledge of Python: Ability to use Python for basic data preparation, data massaging, exploratory analysis, or validation tasks.
Purpose of the role
To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.
Accountabilities:
- Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
- Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
- Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
- Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
