About the AWS DevOps/Solution Architect Role
Join Barclays as an AWS DevOps/Solution Architect responsible for delivering Location Strategy projects on time, on budget, and to high quality standards. In this role, you will drive the evolution of Barclays' digital landscape, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud architectures on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize secure AWS solutions using core services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, and more).
- Automate end-to-end application delivery with modern DevOps toolchains.
- Implement containerization and orchestration with Docker, ECS/Fargate, or EKS.
- Set up system monitoring, alerting, logging and diagnostics using CloudWatch and X-Ray.
- Define and enforce secure coding practices including IAM, encryption, and secret rotation.
Additional Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AWS architectures for APIs, automation platforms, and containerized workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, platform, and automation teams.
- Participate in code reviews, promote quality, and stay updated on industry trends.
