About the Role
Join us as an Application Support Analyst at Barclays to provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve multi-faceted issues, and ensure timely incident resolution. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support using Service Management Tools (Service First / SNOW).
- Troubleshoot issues using COBOL, DB2, JCL and batch monitoring tools.
- Maintain and update knowledge base with detailed incident resolutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance and monitor system performance.
- Engage in risk mitigation, change management and stakeholder communication.
Skills and Experience
Experience with live job dump solving, ITIL best practices, and working in a financial institution environment is required. Familiarity with Abend-aid, IMS and mainframe operations will be a key advantage. Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
