Analyst Electronic Trading - Barclays Equities Electronic Trading Team
Barclays is seeking an Analyst Electronic Trading to join the Equities Electronic Trading Team in Global Markets Mumbai. This role will support the New York desk by developing new tools for portfolio and execution analysis, and maintaining/improving existing infrastructure.
About the Role
The Electronic Trading Support (ETS) team provides advanced analytics suites and reporting frameworks to monitor liquidity flow, algorithm performance, and client profitability across global product offerings. The successful candidate will enhance the functionality and usability of these products, incorporating additional data points to view aggregate client profitability.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills to support model implementation and tools. You will need good judgment for both short-term and long-term projects directly impacting QPS data products, and a strong drive to deeply understand QPS processes.
Basic/Essential Qualifications
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills in Python.
- Prior experience in SQL programming, especially Q/KDB.
- Prior experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Dash, etc., is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX environments.
- Strong analytical skills.

Purpose of the Role
To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks. This includes providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders to maximize productivity and minimize disruptions. The role also involves handling administrative tasks and providing market information and research.
Accountabilities
- Provide immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Coordinate trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and internal teams.
- Maintain and update trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support sales and trading activities.
- Monitor market data and assist in analyzing financial information for trading decisions.
- Perform operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving discrepancies.
