Job Description

Marketing Operations Analyst at Bankrate

Bankrate is looking for a Marketing Operations Analyst to help us build the systems, reporting, and data foundation that powers our performance marketing engine. This is a hands-on, high-impact role: ideal for someone who loves building from the ground up, solving ambiguous problems, and shaping how marketing decisions are made. You’ll partner across paid media, SEO, brand, and FP&A teams to ensure every marketing dollar is measurable and every decision is data-driven.

This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable reporting systems that make campaign performance and channel ROI visible across the business.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and Business Intelligence to define and measure KPIs like attribution coverage, spend efficiency, and channel contribution to revenue.
  • Develop dashboards and tools to enable self-serve analytics and reduce report error rate.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to identify data anomalies, inefficiencies, or growth opportunities across paid, organic, and brand campaigns.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Marketing Ops leadership to automate tracking and forecasting processes, increasing speed and accuracy of insights.
  • Ensure tracking capabilities enable accurate channel attribution and cross-channel reporting.
  • Participate in “build vs. buy” analysis for marketing tech stack and CRM solutions to support scalable performance marketing.
  • Partner closely with analysts, engineers, and marketers to design, QA, and launch new workflows that improve marketing execution.
  • Contribute to a culture of analytical excellence, data accuracy, and continuous optimization across all marketing functions.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–4 years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing operations, or a related quantitative role.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel/Sheets, Databricks, and other data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics (CAC, ROAS, attribution models, etc.) and data flow across paid and organic channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect disparate data sources and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, and tracking platforms (e.g., GTM, Google Analytics, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • High comfort level in fast-moving, ambiguous environments: able to build structure and clarity where little exists.
  • Self-starter mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a bias for action.
  • A “builder” mentality: comfortable creating new systems and processes from scratch.

Perks And Benefits

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid Time Off
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program

Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential. That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy. Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.
