Senior IT Engineer

Mission: Operational Reliability, Overview, and Continuous Improvements

As a Senior IT Engineer in Network & Cloud Connectivity, your purpose is to ensure stable, secure, and modern network and cloud infrastructure in close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You engage in organizational discipline to plan and prioritize tasks and take responsibility for deliveries, dependencies, and progress.

The role requires you to thrive in a complex stakeholder landscape and understand how technical solutions and processes can be simplified and automated. You work purposefully to reduce manual workflows and view optimization as a natural part of professional and modern operations.

Your Role: Network, Security, and Automation

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that network and security solutions function stably in everyday life and are simultaneously developed to support future needs.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Advise and support projects in Bankdata, with customers, and in collaboration with JN Data on implementing networks, VPN, DNS, WAF, and firewall rules.
• Participate in the review and approval of changes – both internal and with operations suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with network security guidelines in close cooperation with the security organization.
• Focus on automating, standardizing, and offering self-service solutions that reduce complexity and the need for manual work.
• Contribute to stable operations through incident and problem handling, as well as participation in any on-call rotation.

The First 6–12 Months, You Will:

• Gain a solid understanding of Bankdata's network landscape, technologies, and supplier collaborations.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, and automation of existing solutions.
• Build knowledge of networking in Azure and AWS, as well as the application of new technologies for increased security.

Your Profile: Technical Overview and Responsibility

We imagine that you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with network, cloud connectivity, and IT infrastructure.
• Practical experience with technologies such as Cloudflare, DNS, firewall solutions, WAF, Fortinet, and AlgoSec.
• Proficiency with software-defined networking, Infrastructure as Code, and automation.
• A clear interest in optimizing, simplifying, and automating technical solutions.
• Clear and trustworthy communication skills, taking responsibility for collaboration and progress.
