Overview

The Web Platform Development Officer at Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) drives the development and continuous improvement of the organization's web platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience through innovative solutions and best practices.

Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines with stakeholders.
  • Creating detailed project plans including tasks, resources, and dependencies.
  • Monitoring project progress, managing budgets, and addressing delays.
  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Communicating consistently with clients, teams, and vendors.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and facilitating testing processes.
  • Conducting post-project reviews and finalizing deliverables.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and validating business requirements.
  • Developing user stories and use cases for system functionalities.
  • Assisting with testing, user training, and deployment activities.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or IT-related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in web development projects.
  • 3-5 years' experience in building and managing project teams.
  • Ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
  • Proven negotiation skills with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
  • General technical understanding of web platform development.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with risk and quality management principles.
  • Above-average communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of current business processes and trends.

Work Set-up

This role follows a Hybrid arrangement (3 days on-site, 2 days work-from-home).
