Overview

The Business Analyst at Bank of Montreal is responsible for investigating and identifying strategies to optimize business operations and services while informing business decisions. The role involves defining business requirements, sourcing and analyzing data, reviewing business processes, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and analyze business and market data.
  • Evaluate the effect of projects on business results.
  • Assess IT system efficiency and performance.
  • Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility.
  • Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Build test cases to validate requirements and testing outcomes.
  • Provide specialized consulting and technical support.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Key qualifications include:

  • Foundational proficiency in Agile Delivery, JIRA, data analysis, and learning agility.
  • Intermediate skills in process improvement, business architecture, stakeholder management, and digital fluency.
  • Advanced expertise in business requirements definition, insights reporting, functional analysis, and application design.
  • Lending (Mortgage) experience is a key asset.

Work Arrangement & Salary

This role requires 2-3 days per week in the office. The salary range is $75,900.00 to $141,900.00, with additional performance-based incentives and benefits.
