A Day in the Role
You will work on cloud-hosted applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation with Terraform and GitHub Actions, and traditional VM-based systems. Tasks include automating infrastructure deployments, scripting in PowerShell, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines with a security-first mentality.
Role Requirements
Essential skills and experience include:
- Practical knowledge of GitHub Actions, Terraform, Azure, and PowerShell
- Experience with git for source control and clear documentation
- Strong written, verbal and organisational skills
- Ability to manage demanding workloads and experiment with new solutions
- Security-first mindset and commitment to quality
Desirable Criteria
Additional beneficial skills:
- Experience with deploying Windows based systems in Azure
- Knowledge of SQL and Azure Monitoring
- Software development experience using C# and SQL Server

This Lead Engineering role is part of the Data Collection Platforms team, contributing to strategic data collection systems and other critical services at the Bank. Your work modernizes and secures the Bank’s technology estate to keep it agile and future-ready.

Salary and Benefits
Salary for the Leeds role is circa £72,320 - £81,360, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension options, discretionary awards, and additional allowances.
