Data Analyst Business Support at Bank of America
The Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) data management program is crucial for supporting business growth and strengthening its control framework. This role requires a structured approach to executing assignments and tasks, combining business acumen, technical skills, documentation, and a focus on efficiency. You will partner with stakeholders in GCIB and across the Enterprise to drive regulatory adherence, enhance GCIB's data architecture, strengthen data governance frameworks, and improve operational excellence to achieve best-in-class status.
The program covers key data management pillars, including adherence to policy/standards, technical and business data stewardship, report governance, data domains, data architecture roadmap execution, managing data incidents/issues, records management, and supporting GCIB leadership in making informed decisions. The program team seeks new talent to operate in a high-intensity, complex business environment, driving success through detailed execution and embracing a 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute business-as-usual tasks with high priority, ensuring speed, accuracy, alignment with program objectives, and improved execution efficiency.
- Be responsible for executing Data Management policy and standards requirements.
- Deliver on data management program objectives, including GCIB process/report/dataflow/records assessments, executing governance routines, maintaining controls and metrics, and preparing reports for senior management.
- Support the execution of responsibilities for GCIB data management named roles, maintaining evidence of execution.
- Regularly engage with stakeholders to review areas impacting GCIB data risks.
- Participate in audits, regulatory exams, and target assessments.
- Establish and review GCIB processes to ensure adherence to relevant requirements.
- Coordinate across GCIB product areas to ensure consensus on implementation and execution approaches.
- Escalate program risks, partner with key stakeholders, develop solutions, and deliver mitigating actions.
- Develop strong relationships to gain buy-in, build consensus, and resolve conflicts within a large, distributed organization.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5+ years of experience in data risk programs; experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Proven prior experience in roles involving policy and standards adherence or data management.
- Strong team-player attitude, desire to learn, and a result-driven approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data priorities and technical concepts for executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, work-intensive organization and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high accuracy.
- Familiarity with GCIB business and products, with the ability to take ownership of delivery.
- Ability to operate independently and collaborate across stakeholders, including bankers, senior leaders, risk partners, and regulators/auditors.
- Control-focused mindset with an understanding of regulatory and reputational risks.
