Job Description
Analytics Engineer at Bang & Olufsen
Do you enjoy turning complex customer data into meaningful growth opportunities? Do you want to shape the data foundation behind personalized experiences and commercial impact in a forward-thinking organization? Are you driven by building scalable architectures that unlock insight across the entire customer journey?
As our new Analytics Engineer, you will join the Customer Insights & Data team in Lyngby, Denmark. You will build and scale the foundation of our customer intelligence ecosystem by discovering, designing, and owning our customer data architecture. Working across digital, retail, service, and product ownership domains, you will transform fragmented data into a unified and scalable Single Customer View. You will also oversee advanced analytics initiatives that unlock actionable insights to enable personalization, elevate premium customer experiences, and support sustainable commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Data Architecture
- Design our Single Source of Truth for Customer Data - a robust, scalable data model/cube integrating everything across the customer journey lifecycle, from digital marketing to on/offline journeys, to behavioral product interaction.
- Assess data quality, gaps, and fragmentation risks.
- Design our identity resolution framework (anonymous-to-known user stitching and account merging).
- Define the Golden Customer Record and matching logic.
- Orchestrate data flows between systems (CRM, product registrations, e-comm, warranty) to create an "always-on" automated customer data engine.
- Enrich our data with smart external sources that unlock new insights into luxury consumer behavior.
- Build semantic models that make complex data simple and analysis-ready.
Advanced Analytics That Move the Business
- Develop and deploy growth-driving analytics: CLV modeling, churn prediction, behavioral segmentation, attribution models, etc.
- Understand what makes premium customers tick and translate those insights into strategies that resonate.
Data Excellence & Governance
- Establish quality controls and governance standards that make our data bulletproof.
- Audit, optimize, and continuously improve data reliability.
What You Bring
We are seeking someone who is comfortable moving from discovery and architecture design into practical implementation and long-term ownership. You are someone who understands identity resolution, customer modeling, and the realities of imperfect data - and you know how to build reliable foundations that last. You know your way around a complex data stack, can debate the merits of different attribution models, and actually enjoy translating "data speak" into executive decisions.
Technical Firepower
- SQL proficiency with advanced querying and data manipulation skills.
- Experience with identity resolution or CDP platforms (e.g., Bloomreach).
- Experience with GA4 and digital tracking frameworks.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data models.
- Python and/or R for statistical analysis and modeling.
- Microsoft data stack knowledge (Dev Ops, Power BI, Fabric, Dynamics 365).
Professional Experience
- 5-7 years delivering data products from concept to production.
- Experience integrating online and offline customer data.
- Comfortable owning both architecture design and practical implementation.
- Experienced in working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, retail, and leadership.
- Experience scaling data models beyond MVP into robust production systems.
Moreover, you:
- Are organized and motivated with intellectual curiosity and a bias for action.
- Have an architect mindset - you design data products, not just dashboards.
- Manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
What We Offer
As part of our Analytics & Insights function, you will join a team of 5 experts based in Lyngby, Denmark. Analytics & Insights is part of our wider marketing function where there will be daily collaboration, but this role will also interact with many other customer-facing functions across the business.
