Original Job Summary
Position Summary
Balanced Body is seeking a proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure outsourced materials and components meet our stringent quality standards. You will serve as the key quality liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and our global suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Evaluation & Development: Conduct supplier audits, assessments, PFMEAs, and implement improvement plans.
- Quality Management & Compliance: Develop control plans, manage non-conformances, perform RCA using 5 Whys, 8D, and oversee PPAP.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs, analyze trends, and disseminate performance scorecards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support NPI phases and define clear quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in quality methodologies (5 Whys, 8D, CAPA, PFMEA, Control Plans).
- Experience with GD&T, CAD software, statistical analysis, and QMS (ISO 9001).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Travel 10-20% to supplier sites.
