As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be in a crucial customer-facing role, responsible for winning business and developing a vision for important market segments at the product line level with a long-term perspective. You will be an integral part of our technical staff, originating sales by strategically positioning Baker Hughes technology and identifying the best technical and commercial solutions. This role also involves leading business development planning processes for your relevant market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery sessions with Oil & Gas and Industrial customers to understand their key operational challenges, focusing on profitability impact and underlying drivers.
- Highlight challenges related to operational practices in maintenance, reliability, inspection, and testing of equipment, as well as operational work processes and strategies.
- Hypothesize potential scenarios involving information, tool, or skill availability that can significantly impact identified operational challenges.
- Secure customer agreement on preferred scenarios through a thorough cause-effect review process.
- Craft practical, feasible, and pragmatic solutions (roadmaps, architecture, and integration) for operational challenges by leveraging capabilities from our IS portfolio, including condition monitoring, asset strategy, AI and physics-based anomaly detection, and process optimization.
- Propose solutions aligned with the potential business opportunities they create.
- Partner with account teams to identify the best site/plant for piloting or scaling identified solutions, collaborating on stakeholder evaluation and gathering background information.
- Coordinate sales teams, involving engineering, legal, risk, and finance departments, for medium to large sales initiatives.
- Manage big or challenging markets and multi-country engagements.

- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- A minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Technical Sales.
- A strong Project Management background.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and unmatched leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
