Recruiting Specialist at Baker Donelson

Baker Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC, a prominent law firm with over 650 attorneys across the United States, is seeking a dedicated Recruiting Specialist. This role is open to applicants in any of the Firm's physical office locations. The Recruiting Specialist will be instrumental in managing the Firm’s comprehensive law student recruiting program firmwide, collaborating closely with the Chief Growth Officer and the Director of Associate Recruiting and Engagement to ensure highly coordinated and effective recruiting operations.

Role Overview

The Recruiting Specialist is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end management of law student recruitment. This includes coordinating interview programs, managing crucial recruiting data, and actively supporting the successful execution of the Summer Associate Program. This position offers significant exposure to Firm leadership and hands-on involvement in shaping the experience of future legal talent at Baker Donelson.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate direct application and on-campus interview programs, including managing callbacks and tracking outcomes.
  • Manage law student and Summer Associate recruiting data efficiently within the FloRecruit system.
  • Support the planning and execution of the Summer Associate Program, encompassing onboarding, training initiatives, and various events.
  • Prepare compelling recruiting communications, detailed reports, and comprehensive firmwide recruiting statistics.
  • Maintain recruiting budgets, nurture relationships with law schools, oversee surveys, and update recruiting materials.
  • Assist with key diversity recruiting initiatives, such as the Diversity Scholarship and LCLD 1L Scholars programs.
  • Partner with recruiting leadership on special projects and continuous program improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong organizational skills coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and clear communication style, complemented by a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant recruiting systems, particularly FloRecruit.
  • Experience in legal or professional services recruiting is preferred, demonstrating industry familiarity.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for the Recruiting Specialist position is $60,000 to $75,000. Actual salary will be determined by the successful candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. Baker Donelson provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, employer-paid and employee-paid life insurance, 401(k) with company match, dental insurance, vision insurance, health and wellness benefits, and Paid Time Off.

Working Conditions

This position operates within a normal office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Occasional travel is required. Applicants must provide minimum authorization to work in the United States.
