Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

As a Financial Systems Administrator at Baker Donelson, you will provide crucial support to Business Services by managing financial systems processes, procedures, and policies. Your role involves the design, development, and maintenance of the Firm's financial systems and databases, including complex workflows. You will be responsible for supporting users' access requirements and resolving any problems they encounter.

Key responsibilities include installing and testing new financial systems and applications, ensuring proper functioning of storage, patching, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures. You will work closely with IT project managers, engineers, support staff, and developers to optimize the Firm's financial systems. Regular communication with technical, applications, and operational staff is essential to maintain financial systems integrity and security. Furthermore, you will maintain a detailed working knowledge of the firm's financial systems, serve as a subject matter expert for financial system reporting, and develop and maintain Firm-specific financial and management applications and reports. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise in Aderant core legacy and framework systems, along with Aderant cloud applications such as iTimekeep, Cloud Conflicts, and Bill Blast. Proficiency with 3rd party applications integrated into Aderant like ARCS and PreBill Viewer, and other systems as directed, is also crucial. A strong background in Microsoft SQL Server Architecture, including databases, tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, is required. This role demands strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and robust problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex issues with financial data.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • A.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years financial systems support experience in a multi-vendor environment.
