Senior Test Engineer

Job Purpose

The company is undergoing a significant digital transformation, aiming to build a platform that provides an omnichannel customer experience, supported by an extensive distribution network. The ambition is to set a new standard for consumer-tech experiences in the country. This Business Unit is central to the company’s web engine transformation. Duties and Responsibilities

• Automate the identification of content, interface, functional, and performance issues on digital assets.
• Utilize Selenium, Cucumber, and other automation tools for coding.
• Understand business requirements and designs, including UX and interface elements, and propose solutions.
• Create and automate test scenarios and test cases, including front-end elements, ensuring 100% coverage mapped to business requirements.
• Develop process automation streams by exploring Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
• Publish weekly/bi-weekly defect reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Determine the optimal testing strategy for automating specific use cases.
• Develop a quarterly testing plan based on the unique requirements of different digital assets.
• Identify opportunities for performance enhancements and establish automation processes for them.
• Demonstrate a strong orientation towards automation, with the ability to explore, identify, and implement new automation processes.
• Possess a complete understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and implement a working model for various websites.
• Gain hands-on experience with customer-facing websites, creating end-to-end regression and smoke tests.
• Generate regular test reports by defining the scope of work with partners.
• Work with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure Boards.

QA Responsibilities and Processes

• Create test scenarios, test strategy, test plans, test cases, and automate them, ensuring 100% coverage mapped to business requirements.
• Understand security, risk, and compliance management processes within IT solutions delivery.
• Demonstrate innovative thinking to deliver in tight timelines and challenging environments.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that define delivery and account success.

Required Qualifications and Experience

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the testing field, with a primary focus on QA for digital assets such as websites, portals, and hybrid mobile applications.
• Relevant QA experience with a strong grasp of testing fundamentals.
• In-depth understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and practical execution experience.
• ISQTB Certified or holds other relevant certifications in QA automation or RPA.
• Proficient in API testing using SOAP UI, Swagger, or Postman.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience implementing working models for various websites.
• Hands-on experience with customer-facing websites, including creating end-to-end regression and smoke tests.
