The Role: Technical Director at BairesDev

We are seeking a Technical Director to join our Solutioning team. As a technical expert, you will bridge the gap between client needs and BairesDev's solutions, playing a critical role in the sales process. This involves engaging with leads and prospects, designing tailored technical solutions, and collaborating with sales and delivery teams to secure new business opportunities.

This role demands a blend of presales expertise, delivery knowledge, and consulting skills, requiring both deep technical understanding and strong communication abilities. You will define project scope, assemble cross-functional delivery teams, and respond to complex RFPs and RFIs. Your goal will be to ensure each solution is viable, competitive, and perfectly aligned with client objectives. This position includes travel to support client meetings and presentations, offering direct engagement with enterprise clients and contributing directly to BairesDev's growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Meet with leads and prospects alongside our sales team to translate their requirements into clear documentation, articulating the value proposition of our delivery model.
  • Travel to meet leads and attend events, serving as the technical expert to showcase our capabilities and build partnerships.
  • Engage in technical conversations about software development and delivery, asking strategic questions to determine optimal solutions and team compositions.
  • Collaborate closely with presales to generate proposals and decks, estimating approaches to software delivery and sizing development teams.
  • Provide consulting on best practices in software delivery, with expertise in Data and Analytics, Quality, Cloud, Engineering, or AI.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Ability to travel +40% within the US.
  • 8+ years of experience working in the SDLC building software with teams.
  • 5+ years in solutioning, sales, presales, or Solution Architect roles, with Manager or Director level experience desirable.
  • 5+ years in a specific area or role within the SDLC (language, framework, or technology), building and implementing technology solutions.
  • Experience leading teams of software developers or engineers delivering solutions (Cloud, Data, DevOps, or Testing).
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge in 1-2 verticals with deep domain experience in at least one (desirable).
  • Experience with Cloud/DevOps/Infrastructure.
  • Must be located in the US.
