Team Overview

The Commercial Contracts and Negotiations Team handles Bain’s most complex negotiations, protects standard commercial and finance terms, and builds strong client relationships by advising Partners and engaging with key client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze commercial elements of contracts and proposals.
  • Lead negotiation strategy and execution with clients.
  • Support Partners with complex RFPs and negotiation coaching.
  • Review and manage contract renewals and amendments.
  • Drive system improvements and quality standards in contract management.

About the Role

As the Sr. Director, Americas Contracts and Negotiations, you will work with a global finance team to defend Bain’s commercial positions, support strategic decisions through data and analysis, and drive best practices in contracting and negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10-15+ years in negotiations within consulting or professional services.
  • Direct experience in complex negotiations and commercial contract management.
  • Strong executive presence with proven leadership in C-level interactions.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical tools.
  • Preferred experience at a tier 1 consulting or Big 4 firm, with LATAM/Canada exposure.
