Information Security Analyst

Location: Portsmouth

Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Flexible working options available

Salary: Up to £41,650 dependent on skills and experience

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review access to classified information via software & hardware appraisal.
  • Provide security advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report measures and statistics to senior management.
  • Build effective relationships with local functions and business representatives.
  • Influence the security culture by raising awareness among employees.
  • Work with internal staff to deliver security plan elements and required testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall security objectives.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Degree in Computing, Information Systems, STEM or security related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in information or cyber security.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical issues.
  • Experience working in IT or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel.
  • A proactive attitude towards system, process, and personal improvement.

The Information Security Team (Maritime & Land Defence Solutions)

Work within a team of 7 members including analysts, a consultant, a team manager, and a deputy manager. Collaborate with security teams and wider business units in an inclusive and flexible work environment.

Additional Information

This role is subject to security and export control restrictions and requires meeting the Baseline Personnel Security Standard and potentially a higher level of National Security Vetting.
