Role Overview
The Technical Editor role supports our government customer at Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL. You will work in a classified environment reviewing intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency as per agency standards.
Responsibilities
- Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other deliverables.
- Summarize numerical data to assist in solving a wide range of intel problems.
- Ensure proper classification markings per IC guidance.
- Collaborate with authors to revise content and improve narrative organization.
- Collect and organize information to prepare training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
- Apply and demonstrate knowledge of IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- Mid-level: Bachelor’s degree in a related intelligence area with 8+ years experience plus recent technical editing, or 10+ years overall.
- Senior: Master’s degree with 12+ years experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 17+ years experience.
- Prior military or government analytical experience.
- Experience in Information Security and technical editing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Government OSINT Training course graduate (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, etc.).
- Experience in intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time role with a salary range of $75,570 - $128,480, based on market structures and candidate qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); disability and life coverage; paid time off; and additional perks.
